The challenge over on Facebook for today was to use a fabric which is something I don't use so I thought I was going to miss out, but then I noticed that lace and/or ribbon could be used too. I received my Fairy Gemstones CD-Card Creations+ today and couldn't wait to get started with it, so I printed off a couple of pages of the mixed toppers and set about making a card. I decided to do something a little different today, and so I made a twisted easel card.

The papers are from my scrap folders which I have been trying to use before cutting into anymore sheets, and so I cannot tell you who they are by (sorry). I folded the base card to make the twisted easel base and cut a piece of white card to make the easel topper. I layered the paper onto the base of the easel and before adding the paper to the topper I added the wide lace topped with thin organza ribbon. I attached a small silver fairy charm to another small piece of ribbon which I then tied into a bow and mounted onto the card. A foiled sentiment by Kanban and a couple of paper roses and leaves for the finishing touch....all in all a pretty card I think. Thanks for popping by and I hope you'll visit again for more crafty makes.

Sorry I didn't get to post yesterday, the time just disappeared and before I knew it it was time for bed lol. Today I want to show you another of the teacups in a different design.

The photo's again show the front and the inside, I like these tea cups and love the pretty designs. I didn't use the recommended photo paper this time and I did cut the inner cup into sections when fitting (a little more work) but I think the overall finish on this one is better and I had less trimming to get a good match. Thanks for popping by and I hope you'll visit again for more crafty makes.

Sunday, 24 February 2013

I made today's card from a kit from downloaded www.craftsuprint.com, it's by the very talented Sue Douglas. I love her stuff and this was very apt for today's tea party challenge over on Facebook.

This shows both the front of the card and the pop up teacup on the inside.

This is a better view of the card front, when printed it actually comes as a complete card....but my printer doesn't always print nicely on the borderless setting so I cut the card in half and mounted onto some silver mirror paper and then on to a white A5 card blank.

This shows a closer view of the pop up, at first I thought it looked very complicated, but in reality is was quite easy. I would say the hardest part was getting the inside of the cup lined up with the outside and although I printed on the recommended paper I still think that the next one I make I will cut the inside piece into sections to ensure a really good fit. Overall I'm very please with my first try and for a card that is a little different I think this fits the bill perfectly. Thank you for stopping by and I hope you will visit again for more crafty makes.

Friday, 22 February 2013

Today I spent the afternoon clearing out some rubbish from the craft room followed by doing some cuts on the cricket for a good friend so I only got one card made. The theme for the challenge over on Facebook was dogs and so I printed this little sheet off which was again from www.craftsuprint.com and made it up.

I mounted the main sheet on to gold mirror card and then on to a white 6" square card and then assembled the decoupage. I opted to use the happy birthday sentiment, but it does come with a couple of others to choose from. I popped the sentiment at an angle in the top corner and balanced out the card by adding two little paw print faux brads, I also added glossy accents to his eyes and nose. I think he's rather cute and great for any dog lover. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll visit again for more crafty makes.

Thursday, 21 February 2013

What a day it's been today! Nothing I did seemed to go right for my challenge over on Facebook, and I had printing issues again (user error this time)... still I got there in the end. I managed to get this, my challenge card and another card made in the end lol. Today's card comes from the Linda Ravenscroft CD A Touch Of Magic, and she is called Garden Fairy Rose....I think she's lovely.

I love Linda's artwork and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of her latest CD Gemstone Fairies, but until it arrives I have this one (and another 2) to work with. I printed the card front on to smooth heavy weight paper, followed by the decoupage. I trimmed the card front down and matted on to silver mirror paper, then it was just a matter of adding the decoupage. I plan to add glossy accents to the dew drops, and maybe glitter highlights here and there, but I will do that tomorrow as I wanted to be sure the glue gel was fully dry first. Thanks for popping by and I hope you will visit again for more crafty makes.
I didn't get to post this yesterday as I forgot to take the photograph until around midnight and I was just too tired to be bothered (naughty me) so I thought I would show you today. I made this originally for the challenge over on Facebook, but I didn't realise I had missed the 2 buttons off and I couldn't find anywhere to put them, that I was happy with so I started again and made another card for the challenge.

The rose topper is from Kanban  and is designed to be torn around the edged so that it shows the coloured core, I've layered  that onto mat which I cut using the Spellbinders Maple Leaf square die. The paper is a sheet of 12x12, which was double sided with beautiful foiling on one side and embossing on the other, was one I had laying about loose so I can't tell you who it's produced by but it is stunning and the photo really doesn't do it justice. I cut the roses and leaves using the Marianne Chinese Rose, added a little ribbon from my stash and a silver foiled sentiment to finish it off. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you'll visit again for more crafty makes.

Today's challenge over on Facebook was wildlife, so I looked through my folders to see what took my fancy. My joints are very sore at the moment, so I needed something that wasn't too difficult and fiddly to cut out and I found these sheets which again are from www.craftsuprint.com. I love these for the little ones, the colours are  bright and cheerful which I like for young children's cards.

As you can see I couldn't decide which sheet to print off and make up, so I printed them all and once I got started with the sheets there was no stopping me lol. I had fun and I'm please with the end result, I'm hoping they will be good for the charity to sell...fingers crossed. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you will visit again for more crafty makes.

Monday, 18 February 2013

I'm late today as I have a quiz league that I participate in on Monday's so I had to make sure that I had my cards for the challenge and my blog ready before going out.  I am currently making some cards for a charity that raises funds to bring unwanted dogs from abroad back to safety here in the UK, and I was asked if I could make some Mother's Day cards as it is fast approaching.

I'm not sure where this sheet was purchased as I found it loose on my drive, but I thought it very suitable for the charity and oh so very cute. I added the little heart gems as there were little hearts printed on the paper and I do like to add a little bling if I can, and I added the sentiment to a blank plate in paint. Thanks for looking and I hope you will visit again for more crafty makes.

Sunday, 17 February 2013

Today's card I thought was rather fun and it reminded me of my youth, when I would go zooming off with my friend Julie on her big black Suzuki motorbike...those were the days!

I love the fresh colours featured on this sheet, which I think was again from www.craftsuprint. The are so bright and cheerful and it just makes me smile. Thanks for looking and I hope you'll come back for more crafty makes.

Saturday, 16 February 2013

Today's card is a kit which again was purchased from www.craftsuprint. I really liked the look of this card, but after making it up I have to say it's probably won't be making too many of them lol. I do like the finished card, but the decoupage is very fiddly which is something I'm find more difficult to do when my hands are sore and my insert didn't match up like it was supposed to do, it's probably my printer, but it's very off putting.

The card itself is very pretty and I like the concept so maybe I will give one of the other designs I have a go tomorrow to see if I can overcome the printing problem I had, and hopefully if you have the kit you won't have the same problem. Thank you for visiting and I hope you will come back for more crafty makes.

Friday, 15 February 2013

Today's theme for the daily challenge I enter on Facebook was butterflies, which I love so it was a lovely subject for me to work with. I had several sheets that I wanted to make up and this was one of my favourites. I have this sheet in the pink and a lilac, but today I chose the pink, the sheet was again purchased from www.craftsuprint.com.

I cut out all the decoupage and mounted the topper on to some silver mirror paper. I have glittered all the butterflies, but try as I might I cannot get it to show up in the photo which is such a shame as they are so pretty. I mounted the lace border using foam tape as I wanted it to be even, then I decoupaged the butterflies using glue gel as I like to give them shape. I added the 3 little mulberry roses instead of the decoupage ones and the pearls along the ribbon border. Thanks for looking and I hope you'll pop by again for more crafty makes.

Thursday, 14 February 2013

Today's card is another sheet from www.craftsuprint and it would suggest being used as a wedding, but I think it could also be used for an anniversary and I'm going to be using it that way later this month for a horse mad couple...but for now I've made it as it is intended to be used.

I printed both sheets onto a good quality paper and cut out the topper and the several layers of decoupage. I matted the topper on to gold mirror card and placed this on a 8.25x8.25 card blank that I made using 2 sheets of white card, then all that was left to do was to add the decoupage, which I did by using glue gel. I think I need to add some touches of glitter, but it was getting late and as it's Valentine's Day I thought I had best spend the remaining of the evening with the Hubby lol, so I will add that tomorrow. Thanks for looking and I hope you will pop back again for more crafty makes.
Today's card was made using the Grandma's Button Box CD by Katy Sue (Flower Soft). I used one of the decoupage sheets for the little lad sewing and scraps of paper cut into 1 inch squares for the background. I stitched around the black card and then mounted the background and decoupage onto this.

I added a little gold Happy Birthday sentiment which I had mounted onto a little piece of black card and three little buttons to the corner as the finishing touch. I really like this little guy and I'm quite pleased with the finished card. Thank you for looking and I hope you'll come back again for more crafty makes.

Tuesday, 12 February 2013

Today's challenge was cats or dogs and as I'm a lover of both I really couldn't make my mind up what to do. I eventually made 4 cards, but I've chosen to show you this little chap as I just think he is so cute! He reminds me of my Kayla when she was a pup, although she didn't do shoes it was the socks she liked to shake the life out of lol.

This sheet makes a large 8" card and because I still cannot find the ones I purchased I made the card blank out of two sheets of card, so it is an 8.25" square card. The sheet is again from www.craftsuprint.com and a matching insert can also be purchased. Thank you for looking and I hope you will visit again for more crafty makes.
I'm very late posting my card for today as I had to go out and didn't get home till late, but I thought I would post it now. It's from the Card Creations Plus CD Reflections of An Edwardian Ladies, and I have to admit I haven't used this CD before, even though I have had it for ages.

The theme for the daily challenge that I take part in on Facebook was any dress, and I was automatically drawn to my Debbie Moore CD's, but I use them alot and thought it was time for a change. I printed out the sheets onto super smooth paper (even the card blank) as I find that sometimes by printing onto different card and papers can affect the colours and I wanted them to be the same. I mounted the card front on to a white card blank and the assembled the decoupage using glue gel. There were some very fiddly bits to cut around and I have to confess I just wasn't in the mood for it today, so I cut them off and added a little feather instead but I'm happy with the result. Thank you for looking and I hope you will return tomorrow for another of my crafty makes.

Sunday, 10 February 2013

Today's card was made using the shoes in bloom CD from Ooh La La Creations. I've had this CD for a long time but I think I've only ever made one card from it previously, so when the theme for the daily challenge was footwear I thought it was the ideal opportunity to use it again. I didn't use this for the challenge as I managed to get a couple of cards made before the family arrived for the ritual Sunday dinner lol.

I cut out the topper and all the decoupage layers, matted the topper on to mauve card and assembled the decoupage layers using glue gel. The lilac and white card is by Kanban I believe and I cut this to leave just a small white border from the white card blank. I used the Martha Stewart daisy border die to cut some of the mauve card that I had used for matting and attached the glittery lilac ribbon to it before sticking it on the main card, along with the bow. Silver peel off corners added the finishing touch for a pretty feminine card I thought. Thank you for visiting and I hope you will visit again for more crafty makes.

Saturday, 9 February 2013

Today I only got one card finished and I cannot show you that because I'm not allowed to lol, so instead I'm going to show my make for the daily challenge I take part in. It was to decorate a letter of the alphabet and I had no idea where to even start, but after chatting to a friend that also participates in the challenge a few idea started to come to mind. I thought for a change I would make a hanging decoration and this is what I made.

I printed out the letter B to fit an A4 piece of card in the Docrafts Digital Designer and printed again but with the image reversed so that the back matches the front. I cut both out and attached a piece of ribbon between the pieces so that it can be hung. I cut the little ballerina decoupage out and layered it up and then attached this to the corner of the letter. I thought it needed a little something else, but wasn't sure what so I edged the letter with the holographic sequins to add some sparkle. I'm planning to give this to my Mum who's name is Brenda and who studied ballet when she was younger, I hope she likes it. Thank you for looking and I hope you will come back tomorrow for more crafty makes.

Friday, 8 February 2013

Today's card was made using a kit, again from www.craftsuprint.com and was designed by the very talented Dawn Hill. I love these double picture pop out cards as they are quite simple to make, but I think they make very impressive cards.

The first part of the photo shows the front decoupaged image, the second the pop out in the middle. I think this design is great for those guys that like to D.I.Y. The kit comes with lots of sentiment options, I haven't added one to my card as I haven't decided who it will be for yet lol. Thanks for looking, and I hope you will visit again so I can show you some more of my crafty makes.

Thursday, 7 February 2013

My card for today was made from the lovely Art Deco Wedding CD set by Debbi Moore.

I matted the main decoupage image onto some gold card stock from Kanban and then onto centura pearl card, then I assembled the decoupage using glue gel, so that I could shape the layers. I went around the roses on the backing paper with a quickie glue pen and added a crystal glitter. I then matted the backing paper onto the same gold card stock and attached to the main pearl card blank. I added touches of glitter to the decoupaged image and I think that has made a very pretty card to give to somebody on their Wedding Day. Thank you for looking and I hope I can offer you some more to look at tomorrow.

Wednesday, 6 February 2013

I managed to get a few cards made today and I really love these little Giraffes. The sheet is another one from www.craftsuprint.com, as you might have guessed by now I love that website lol. I printed the sheet onto super smooth paper and used Crafters Companion's stick and stay spray to attach it to an A5 card blank, then I cut around the wording to give it the shape.

I glued a deep cream coloured textured pearl card to the inside, so that when the card is shut it's not just a boring white edge showing. I'm guessing the designer made it with Valentine's Day in mind, but I think this could be given for any occasion. Thanks for looking and I hope you'll pop back tomorrow for more crafty makes.

Tuesday, 5 February 2013

This is my card for the challenge today, the theme is birds and birdhouses. I chose to make the little shaped card and matching envelope which I purchased from www.card-making-downloads.com. I love these shaped cards and they are very easy to make up, but effective I think. The little gift card holder is also a kit, but my apologies as I can't remember where I purchased it from.

I still have to add a little Velcro button fastener to the gift card holder, but I'm in bad pain today and couldn't face pulling all the draws out to find them, so I will add it at a later date. I hope you like this little card and thank you for looking. Please come back tomorrow for more crafty makes.
I didn't get to post this yesterday as I was running late, after two very late nights I couldn't seem to get my act together lol. Anyway I thought I would catch up and post yesterdays card this morning. I made this card for the daily challenge, the theme was to use green and pink.

The backing paper and quote are from a kit I got from making-handmade cards. I pay a small monthly fee and get a free kit each month. This one I've had quite a while and have never used before, but I love the papers and the quotes are beautiful. I added die cuts and ribbon and flowers from my stash to finish the card off and to add the pink elements. Thanks for looking and I hope you'll come back later for todays creation.

Sunday, 3 February 2013

I didn't get around to posting yesterday as I was back in my home town having a get together with the girlies. I had a very enjoyable evening and it was great to catch up on all the news and also to finally meet my Goddaughters new baby girl Faith....she is beautiful! And to make the evening complete my Hubby and I were asked if we would be Faith's Godparents.

I did manage to get a couple of cards made today, one was a new home card for the daily challenge I take part in, the other was this one.

I love florals and this pretty sheet was again from www.craftsuprint.com. I added the pearls and the tiny gems to add a bit of sparkle and the senitment best wishes, but the sheet has lots of different sentiments to choose from, so would be suitable for most occassions.

Friday, 1 February 2013

Today I've managed to get a few cards made so I wanted to share with you this beautiful sheet from www.craftsuprint.com. I love the image that has been used on the sheet and originally it was designed to be an A4 topper sheet, but I like to add some dimension to my cards so I altered the sizing to A5 and printed 2 copies. I used one of the sheets for the base layer in it's original form and then I cut the bride from the second sheet and decoupaged her.

I've added a little glitter and a few gems, but I felt that the image is so pretty that it didn't need much more. I hope you like her as much as I do and please feel free to leave any comment (good or constructive). Thank you for looking and I hope you will visit again for more crafty makes x
Well it's later than I had planned to post but here is a card I made for today's challenge. The theme we were given was love and as my dear Hubby isn't the romantic type I thought this little chap was just what I needed to make a Valentine's card for him.

The decoupage image and the papers all come from a fab CD called Teentastique by Ooh La La Creations, this little guy is Android. The cog embellishment I've used are from the fabulous http://www.crafty-emblies.org/ and I've coloured them using a silver paint pen which I had in my stash.

I hope you like him as much as I do and please check back tomorrow for more crafty makes x
