Today I want to show you my card for the Just For Fun Challenge September challenge. The theme for this month is autumn colours, which I love to work with. I chose to use Debbi Moore's CD Christmas Fairies. I think this particular fairy could be used all year round and in fact this card will be used for my Niece's Birthday...I hope she likes it!.

I printed both the backing paper and decoupage on to super smooth paper (120gms & 160gms respectively), I mounted the backing paper on to a gold pearlised card and then put this onto an 8x8" black card blank. I cut out all the decoupage and layered it up using 1mm foam tape, added glitter highlights and some coffee coloured 8mm pearls to finish off.

This is a closer look at the glittered decoupage.

I hope you will join us in this challenge, Marie has offered some great crafty goodies for the winner.

New Challenge Over at Seemacrafts

Hi everyone today see the start of the new challenge over at Seemcrafts and the theme is Monochromatic and the challenge is being sponsored by LEJ Designs with the winner able to choose 3 digis from their shop.

Now I don't normally do dark and mysterious (I'm much more the pretty, floral type of person), so this card is very different for me, but I needed to make a belated Birthday card for a dear friend who loves all things Goth...so I hunted through all my sheets and found this, which also happened to fit this months theme.

Starting with a white A5 card blank I printed out the sheet and cut out all the elements, I matted the main image on to silver mirror paper and place on to the card front. I added the decoupage using 1mm foam tape. I was going to add glitter highlights to the skulls and around the moon to add a bit of bling, but then found out my friend is allergic...so thought I had better not lol. The sheet is from Craftsuprint and I printed it out on to 160gsm super smooth paper, which I find gives a great clear printed image and hold well when shaping the decoupage elements.

Thanks for looking and I hope you will join in the fun over at Seemacrafts this month.
