JFF Challenge

Today sees the midway point in the Just For Fun challenge, which is offering some fab goodies from Seema (DT) of Seemacrafts,  and so it's design team B's turn to show off their projects which feature their favourite colour. I love blues and brown tone and because I have always loved the browns and autumnal colours I chose to use these on my project. I like different shapes for my cards for a change and so I decided I would make one of these fab shaped cards to show you.

The kit comes from craftsuprint and is by Lisa Baglietto. Because my printer will only take a maximum 250gsm supersmooth card I felt that with the decoupage added it might not be substantial enough so I printed on to the usual 160gsm paper that I use and then stuck this to a 300gsm card using the stick and stay spray glue, then I cut around the card base and folded to make the actual card. I cut out all the decoupage elements and mounted those using foam tape for a very effective and easy to make card.

I hope you will join in with us over at Just For Fun and don't forget to mention your fave colour used when linking back to your blog.

November Challenge-Bright & Colourful

Today sees the start of the November challenge over at Seemacrafts and the theme this month is bright & colourful. I love owls and so when I cam across the cheerful sheet I just knew I had to make a card using it.

I printed the sheet on to 160gsm super smooth paper and cut out all the elements. Using a 6x6 (approx) card blank I stuck the base image on the card blank and the layered the remaining pieces using a 1mm foam tape. Instead of adding the last little piece of ribbon decoupage I found a little pink bow that I had in my stash and added that to the larger owl, a few little yellow gems to the centre of the corner bows and the card was completed.

I hope you will join in the fun over at Seemacrafts, our sponsor this month is the lovely LEJ Designs, who is offering 3 digi stamps of choice to the winner.
